Har - Bass, Guitar, Piano, Banjo
Har is a 53 year old who has been playing music all his life. When Har was a young child, his mother used to take him to musicals at the theatres and would purchase soundtracks from the plays and movies in addition to Classical Music recordings. It was then that Har would spend hours listening and attempting to emmulate the vocals and melodies. Thus, the beginning of Har's musical interest. Har started playing Drums in the Fourth Grade but soon lost interest. At age twelve, his parents purchased a $12.00 Guitar from Western Auto. Throughout Jr. High School he attempted several times to make sense out of the instrument, with no success. It was when he was away at Western Military Academy and met someone who claimed they had experience playing with some of the members of the Ventures, that Har took seriously to the instrument. Har's interest and ability increased throughout several bands, The Plastic Cloud, The Rock Candy Band, until he jammed with an up and comming band, "The Hour Glass" in Alton Illinois. The Hour Glass went on to become The Allman Brothers Band. Har went on to form two other bands. The Gangsters played throughout The Saint Charles area and at the same time he teamed up with his friend Mick Shoss to join The Helen Vault Band. It was in this group that he met Jim Laverty, The Late Great Earl The Pearl, and Bob Spring, the current guitarist for Cosmic Mojo. They played together for about fourteen years before each went his seperate way. About Twelve years later Bob and Har's paths crossed again and with music boiling through their blood, they attempted to brainstorm the kind of group they could enjoy playing in. The problem of a Bass Player came to mention as both Har and Bob are guitarists. Since Har was teaching Bass in his spare time along with guitar and banjo, it was decided that he would be the future Bassist for Cosmic Mojo. The rest is what you now have.
